1996 Mazda 626 ticking sound

i got my car about three months ago and since i got it. its been making a ticking sound and i had a couple of people look at it. one guy said it was my cam shaft. another guy said it was my lifters. witch one is it or what is making the ticking sound???[/quote:383407831c]were is it ticking at? does it just tick when you go in motion or turn,mine was ticking like that and it ended up being the axels
