I have a 323 Mazda 1987 1.8 ltr manual with 260k klms. Coolant is leaking when engine is running but not from hoses - it appears it's coming from somewhere above the sump and running down front of sump. I cannot see or feel where its originating from. Has been getting progressively worse. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks. [img:6b5d8bc216]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/87370_engine_1.jpg[/img:6b5d8bc216]

Hi there,

Best to have the system pressure tested as this will normally show up leaks, but my best guess if it is comong from the front of the engine, would be the water pump, there is a small hole in the bottom of the pump housing and if the coolant is leaking from there the pump is leaking past the shaft seals and will need replacing.
