93 engine swap possibilities??

i have a 93 mazda mx-3, it has a 1.6l sohc with 200,000kms. i was told that i can put a 94-95 mx-3 1.6l dohc engine in, do you knoe if this is true?
also i was old that the only thing that i would have to get with the dohc motor for it to run in my car is the computer. can some one tell me this is correct or not, because i really neen a new motor.
is there any other motors that i can put in this car,?, i think the escort, probe and 323 also have the same platforms
