1996 Mazda 323 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

i have a mazda 323 1996 model, manual t. it lacks power when driving in 1st gear and 2nd gear. What seems to be the problem? thanks in advance

You will need to change the fuel filter, maybe the fuel pump. When you start the car from a dead stop, it takes more fuel to get the car moving.
