My car is running on only three cylinders so the gas from the fourth cylinder isn't igniting and the fumes are leaking in to my car. We've checked the spark plugs, the spark plug wires, the cap and rotor have been replaced, and I'm curious if you have any suggestions for what else we can check. We have tried removing each spark plug wire and starting the car to try and eliminate which cylinder is giving us the issues, but we weren't able to isolate it. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money so the cheaper solutions first would be best. Thank you very much.

Have you ran a compression check on it? You might have broken rings, hole in the piston, The car has a lot of miles on it. The compression test will tell you if you have bad rings or a hole in a piston.
