After a Speed Sensor check engine code came on, car would hard shift from a halt at a light. The gear indicator would show 3rd gear, and stay even after stopping. When you stepped on gas it would hard shift to first. Other than that, normal operation. I had the code checked and it was a Speed Sensor (P1075 I believe). I had the Tranny flushed, and had a garage put a new speed sensor in. Now it is fine except when shifted from Park (or reverse) to first gear, the gear indicator changes immediately (and sometimes will switch to second gear) and you get about a 4 second delay, then you feel it shift hard to first. If you give it some gas before it switches, it will speed up the switch to first, but shift even harder.

Hello .. thanks for the donation .. much appreciated I would try swapping out the TPS (throttle position sensor) if this does not work, You Really need to have the vehicle checked by a transmission shop .. Most likely cause is burnt clutch plates i'm afraid !! EXCESSIVE SHIFT SHOCK FROM N TO D OR N TO R POSITION/RANGE DESCRIPTION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES Excessive shift shock from N to D or N to R position/range DESCRIPTIONStrong shock felt when shifting from N to D or N to R position/range. POSSIBLE CAUSE Shift shock may worsen when the fail-safe is operating. If no DTC is output, the shift shock may worsen due to poor operation of the control valve body or sticking of the clutch. Clutch burnt (N-->D: Forward clutch, N-->R: Reverse clutch or low and reverse brake) Line pressure low, high TP sensor malfunction Accelerator pedal position sensor malfunction or mis-adjustment Vehicle speed sensor malfunction Input/turbine speed sensor malfunction Shift solenoid B malfunction Shift solenoid D malfunction Shift solenoid A malfunction Shift solenoid C malfunction Pressure control solenoid malfunction Control valve body malfunction Sensor GND malfunction Body GND malfunction Poor hydraulic operation (Malfunction in range change) Forward accumulator malfunction Servo apply accumulator malfunction Pressure switch malfunction Idle speed high Poor tightening torque of engine mount, exhaust mount Poor operation of mechanical pressure Selector lever position disparity Hope this helps
