Hello, this code is P0113 (Intake Air Temperature Sensor Circuit High - Bank 1), so it does not indicate a MAF problem. This vehicle has an Air Charge Temperature Sensor that receives this signal. This code requires some electrical diagnosing, but I can walk you through it if you have access to a multimeter.

Please see our guide on how to use a multimeter below:
https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-a-voltmeter

I will attach the guide for diagnosing this code also as pictures.
(See pic 01, 02 & 03)

Below I will include the procedure to replace the sensor, it is fairly straight forward.

(See pic 04)

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Disconnect the IAT sensor harness connector.
3. Remove the IAT sensor by pulling it out of the air cleaner housing.

Hope this helps,

William

Hello,

Did you clear the code after the repair? I attached the diagnostic procedure, in the previous post, it will require a scan tool that can read live data and a multimeter. Even if you can't see live data but have a scan tool, clear the code. If it comes back immediately then we have a likely electrical issue.

Let us know,
William

Is there another way to clear the code if I don't have a scan tool? I do have a multimeter that I need to learn how to use, lol.

You can disconnect the battery for 5 minutes. Otherwise, if it's a permanent code it may require a good scan tool to clear. Please see our guide above on how to use a voltmeter. It can really come in handy!

Thanks,
William

Yes, in principle they are the same, a multimeter can do much more than just measure voltage.

Let us know how it goes,

Just let us know, we are here to help. The sensor should be receiving 4.9-volts, anything higher results in this code. I would check voltage with it plugged in and unplugged. However, a scan tool will really help you the most here.

You can get them relatively cheap on Amazon like this one here: https://a.co/d/dceDgPf

If I can help just let me know,

Hello, if I am not mistaken that is the low coolant light. According to your picture the engine temperature is actually good. Can you confirm there is enough coolant in the radiator or expansion tank?

Thanks,
William

I would use the scan tool and look at the live data. Hopefully it detects the coolant level and gives you a %. This will tell us if the level sensor is working correctly or not. If you ordered the scan tool mentioned in this thread, I know it has a live data option, but I do not know how deep it will go. Please let us know.

What should the percentage be?

The percentage will reflect the amount of coolant, if the level is measured by a float. We are looking to see if the number is arbitrary. Like a negative number or a number that doesn't match the current state.

Hi,

I'm going to jump back in. What was your question? Reading through the above, it sounded like it was fixed but then you mentioned installing a part.

Let me know what part you are referring to and I'll do my best to help.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

There are two on this vehicle. Yes, you could replace them. It isn't a difficult job.

If you look below, I attached the directions for both sensor 1 and sensor 2. Take a look through them and let me know if that helps or if you have additional questions.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

Confirm that the sensor you have is the same as the one I circled below. I believe that is the second one. It's hard to orient myself with the pic.

Let me know.

Is that the AIT sensor? The one I have is identical to the mass air flow sensor under the air filter.

Hi,

Based on what the manual is showing me, I believe it is the IAT. Take a look at the attached picture below. The manual identifies that as IAT 2. It also identifies the one in the air box as IAT 1. It should be right behind the throttle body.

I installed the IAT sensor and did a scan it didn't detect any error but the dash still has the error code. And I would like to know if I can use a scan tool to program my key fob.

Hi,

The scanner really isn't needed for a relearn related to the key fob. Also, I'm not sure if you have a bi-directional scanner that can communicate in both directions.

As far as the relearn, you can use a scan tool or you can do it without the scan tool. I attached directions below for both procedures.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,

Joe
