Hi,

There are a few different things that can cause the code. I noted that you indicated you had the code before. What was done? Did it fix the issue for any amount of time?

If you look at pic 1 below, I provided the likely causes of the code. Take a look through them and let me know if you have done anything with what's listed.

I also provided the diagnostics for the code (pics 2 and 3). However, I don't know if you have the test equipment needed. Let me know.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe

i didn't know an EGR valve had anything with the MAP sensor. just had a code for a MAP sensor. no testing on it yet. all i have is a launch scanner emu scanner does not have a pid for the Mazda. i was going to the testing i have seen on YouTube other words the MAP valve could be causing the problem. also fuel trims seem normal at idle but it's misfiring. thank you

Hi,

I need to confirm something. Is this the same vehicle that I replied to earlier regarding the manifold absolute pressure sensor?

If it is, anything that can cause pressure differentials can create an issue.

Let me know.
