Chrysler is the only manufacturer that never used a mass air flow sensor or needed one to make their engines run right.
If you have a diagnostic fault code for an oxygen sensor, that is the circuit that needs further diagnosis. Fault codes never say to replace a part or that one is bad. Also, there are over a dozen fault codes related to the oxygen sensors and they mean very different things. You have to know the exact code number to know where to start with the diagnosis.
For the misfire problem, the engine computer should detect that and set a fault code for a specific-cylinder misfire. Spark plugs and wires are the best suspects. If no code is set, the best approach is to connect a scanner so you can view live data on a test-drive and see what is changing when the problem occurs.
