Transmission has a hard shift issue after changing the gear oil

Good morning,

It sounds like the oil itself. What brand and viscosity oil did you use for the repair? I attached the specs below along with the procedure. Check out the diagrams (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

Dear Roy, I saw your attached files regarding my car and found out that I put on my car the wrong gear oil so, I guess it's why my transmission is doing this kind of issue.

instead of "75W-80 Gear + GL-3" oil type, I put on "SI G-90" from Shell CO.
I called in my Local Mitsubishi Motors Co. regarding the issue, they said this oil you want, you might not find it around here (in my country).

Please Roy, check the attached video and photos as you requested so.
From the video you could just realize that the transmission is stuck/cannot change to the other gear.

Moreover, could you please send me the Owner's manual for my car?
Coz I recently bought this car (Pre-enjoyed) so I guess there's no manual left in the car from the previous owner.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you ASAP.

I would replace the fluid with the correct fluid and see if it helps it any before we talk about damage to the transmission itself.

There's another issue, this car uses 95 MO gas, but the previous owner was using 91 Mo Gas for this car, now the car has an issue in gear 3 and 5, the car starts cutting off when you accelerate it start cut off. Is it because of the fuel being used? or what can it be?

in my country, I didn't find the right fluid for my Mitsubishi Lancer car MTF.
The company itself doesn't have it.

However, I found another company (Mannol) having the same grade as required which is 75W-85 but its API GL-4. and mine should be GL -3. Can I use this one for my gear instead?

Yes, you must use a minimum of GL-3. The 4 is better, so yes. You could not use anything less than GL-3.

Can you please elaborate more? What does GL-3 and 75W-8085 stand for??
in the manual it says GL-3 and 75W-80, but the available right now is GL-4 and 75W-85.

GL4 is better than GL#. That is good.

75w-85 is the weight of the oil, both hot and cold.

Those specs are critical for the proper operation of the shifting.
