How do I get that plastic ball in the photo to come loose and what is that blue bolt on the picture for?

I attached the process on how to disassemble the shifter. Let us know if you need more info. As for the blue bolt, I am not sure I see which one you are talking about. I assume this procedure will show which bolt it is and if it doesn't, can you point to the bolt that you are talking about and we will see if we can identify it? Thanks
