Hi, I had bought this car off my cousin. From what I know he really didn't pay much attention it as far as suspension is concern. I changed the lower control arms this weekend and now when I am in a red light or stop sign, and I step on the gas pedal it seem to take off pretty slow then afterwards it runs smooth and great. It wasn't doing that before I changed the lower control arms. Let me rephrase that I changed the bushing on the lower control arms on both sides. Do you know why it starts off slow?

Welcome back:

That's a good question. You really didn't do anything to change engine performance. When you put it back together, are you sure the brakes are properly installed and not dragging? After driving, check to see if there is excessive heat coming from either of the wheels. Also, confirm tire wear isn't being compromised. Maybe the alignment is way off.

Let me know what you find.

Take care,
Joe.
