MAF sensor wire colors

Rodents are such fun. Attached are the OE and aftermarket color diagrams. Or by terminals - Term A- Yellow (MAF Sens), Term B- Pink (battery power), Term C- Black w/White (sensor ground), Term D- Tan (intake air temp signal), Term E- Black (intake air temp low return).
Might I suggest adding some armor to the wiring, Similar to this https://www.wirecare.com/product-lines/rodent-resistant-sleeving

Thank you! Those colors match with the pre spliced wires I have! I'm off to buy a pigtail. My only remaining question is, from the perspective of this image of the connector, is the black/white wire on the top or the bottom?

I've been hit multiple times in the past few years including the wiring harness out of the fuse box which i had to splice. Thanks for the armor tip!

nevermind, i see black/white is terminal C and presumably the middle one. Which terminal is A, the bottom or top?

This should help. Have been dealing with rodent damage for years. Customer vehicles as well as my yard equipment. They chewed the wiring on my garden tractors and lawn machines enough that I rewired those with steel tubing and conduit to keep them away.

I found a youtube video that showed a vague image of the pigtail and based on that put terminal A at the front and E at the back. Service Engine Soon light went away and shifting is smooth again. Will test drive more later then permanently crimp wires.

Did you see the connector image I attached? Those are the terminals looking into the pigtail end. In your image with the pink insert terminal A is on top, E at the bottom. You don't want to mix them up because it can cause a lot of problems.

I did not see the image at the time i posted the youtube mention, perhaps i forgot to refresh the screen. Yes, that is the exact image i was trying to find to know which direction the terminals were ordered. I was able to pick out the tan and yellow position from the video and that is the order I set. It works well now and I'll print all these images for future ref. (yellow is A and at the top and pink is B just below it, correct?) Thanks for your help!

With it vertical and A at the top its Yellow, Pink, Black/white, Tan, then Black. So will you be having squirrel stew tonight? lol

LOL i should get some protein out of it given all the trouble it has caused. My next project is replacing control arms - i already have the torques for that. thanks for your help!
