One of two things. Either you have leaking air struts, or height sensor/wiring concerns. The most common are leaking air struts. This can be checked with a spray bottle of soapy water sprayed all over the rubber part of the strut, bubbles=leak=replace. I've also had wiring issues at the vent valve at the strut (rare). Most customers I've had chose to replace the air struts for a regular spring replacement kit. Retrieving the trouble codes is usually the first step, but as easy as the soapy water test is, I would start there. I don't have access to repair manuals at this moment so if you need additional help, I'll have to call for reinforcements.

Good afternoon,

It does sound like one of the air springs is leaking under load.

I would replace both of them as when one starts to leak the other is close behind.

I attached the procedure for the replacement as well as the part available from Rock auto.
