Is there anything that could be causing my lower control arms to be going bad like that? Because I honestly feel like I'm just putting expensive Band-Aids on my truck.

Do you have over sized tires on the vehicle?

Here is how to install the lower control arms correctly. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.

When I replaced the lower control arms the first time, I got instructions from your website. I appreciate everything you have helped me with, but I have gotten so tired of this truck that I have had a friend of the family that is a mechanic lift it and help me find out what is going on and we found out that the stabilizer bar/sway bar is the cause of the problems. It not only is bent and resting on both lower control arms, but it is the reason that everything else is going out prematurely. The stress it's putting on the rest of the drive train, suspension, and wheel components is just too much with the everyday strain that all of the parts go through on a regular basis. If you think that we could be wrong or you have any suggestions that might help, I'm all ears. I know I have said it already, but I appreciate all of your help and value your opinion. Thank you so much. I have been out of work for a while or else I would donate to your website again but as soon as I get back at it you best believe I will.

My fiancée and I went to a u-pull-it junkyard and got the stabilizer bar/sway bar from another Jeep Patriot. When we replaced the bar on my truck you could definitely tell the difference between the bar that came off of my truck because it was not only bent but the passenger side was lower than the driver's side and like I said before it was resting on the lower control arms but the new one is doing the same thing even though it is not bent and it has nothing wrong with it. Can you help me because I can't, for the life of me, find a diagram showing exactly where the bar is supposed to be. I have tried everything to keep it off but as soon as I connect the links on both sides it drops down. Please, I really need your help.

Can I ask if the vehicle has been in an accident? Here are the instructions on how to install the new sway bar. If the links don't line up something is bent. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.

I replaced the stabilizer bar that was bent and put the new one on but just like the other bar this one is resting on the lower control arms, and I have tried everything to keep it off. Will the alignment printouts be able to guide me in the right direction to fix this as well?

I don't think so, was this vehicle in an accident? Is the subframe bent as well?

I haven't seen any frame or subframe damage at all, but I would bet my life that it has been in an accident. The stabilizer bar wasn't bent to the point that you could tell with it on the vehicle. I could but I'm have a weird sense of those things. I think maybe my mom left me in a hot car too long and fried my brain. Lol

That would explain it, I don't know but if you upload enough images of the area, I might be able to see what is bent, like a subframe.
