My car had a head gasket replaced on it at least it was supposed to be on. the mechanic had my car for ever and ever. since he worked on it it has been in bad shape. he filed bankruptcy moved out of state so I have got her a new mechanic. my engine light goes on and off and he said that I had a misfire and low compression in cylinder two. I have been driving it it drives fine. I have had several people tell me that I can drive it. just so you know it will not go anymore. I need to drive it on a fairly long trip around three hundred miles and I want to know if I should risk it.

You should rent a car. The misfire can cause the catalytic converter to melt and block the exhaust. If that happens then your car will not go anywhere. You really should not even be driving it like that around town either.
