I recently had a low humming noise when I was driving straight and turning slightly right and left. I then got my bearings changed in both front sides. After this now I can hear and feel a loud droning/humming noise coming from the front driver side which is noticeable at over 40 mph. The noise is still there whether the engine is on or off, in gear and out of gear and going straight and around slight bends. The interesting thing is that although the noise gets faster when the speed increases the noise is still at a slower speed than the tyre revolutions - the noise is hmmmmmm....hmmmmmm...hmmmmmm with a small pause in the middle and the tyre speed is faster. I've also had the both complete wheel hubs changed and the noise is still there. If it was the bearings would the noise be going at the same speed as the tyres? The balcony and tracking is all fine and the tyres are all fine. Strange that it happened after the wheel bearings were changed?

That could be an output bearing in the transaxle also. You really need to have that looked at by a reputable transmission shop.
