Front end Loud popping noise

Thanks for the video it helps when it comes to sounds issues. I would have the alignment guys look at it again because it sounds like the alignment shims have fallen out, which happens when the upper control arm is not tightened correctly.

Thank you for answering. I actually went into this shop about 1.5 months ago for this exact noise. Although it wasn't as loud. That's when they did all the suspension work as stated above but it was still their. My tires were getting bad and it needed an alignment so I thought maybe that was the issue. As you see in the video it didn't help.

This doesn't sounds like an alignment issue. If the car is standing still and you move the steering wheel lock to lock can you hear the noise or is it only while driving?

Since the alignment my steering wheel still isn't dead center and still veers slightly left. I've only drove it home on the eway since the alignment. It still feels like it's floating. As far as I remember it only makes that noise going over bumps/ potholes or a hard turn into a drive. I also had them take my torsion bars down because of tire wear while they did everything.

Yep, it sounds like the alignment shines fell out. I would take it to a different place to have them looks at it. Is this a full time 4wd car? They have something installed wrong or something is loose. Can you send a video of the under side of the front end so I can see it?

Thank you so much for your help. Yes, I can definitely take a video although I have no idea what I'm supposed to take a video of. I crawled under and tried to get both sides of the tire across. I might have to do it again I'm not sure if this would be any help.

I drive my truck probably 2 to 3 times a week. right now it is the only vehicle I have. I've put allot of money into since I've had it two years. it all new brakes, rotors caliper all the way around. I changed my own water pump, temperature sensor, spark plugs wires, cap distributor. I took my truck in had both shackles done in the rear of my vehicle's steering pump.Plus everything listed above.

Great job on the video. it looks like the bushes are okay, but I did see new suspension parts which I am wondering are tight. With the truck not moving can you bounce the front end up and down might need two people) to see if you can hear the noise? If so see if you can get an idea of the source. Let me know I want to get this fixed for you.

I really appreciate your help! You have no idea! Thank you so much! Also, I took it back. Showed them the same video. They were thinking it was either door pin,shock bolt was loose, body mount. on the drivers side door pin started to slide. They fixed that. They were thinking the noise came from the door pin. Also showed me the body mount on drivers side in the front kinda under the bumper is in pretty ruff shape. I live in Michigan so rust is unfortunately inevitable. Could a bad body mount cause the issue of suspension? They put my truck up again to look over everything. They are the only shop I trust. I took my truck to another shop to get my power steering pump replaced and oil changed. Well let's say my oil gauge was high. They overfilled the oil by a lot like a quart and a half then put my serpentine belt on up side down and had belt shavings! The shop that did my suspension let me know about oil and belt. They also told me they think my worm is going bad in the ds box. Maybe that's why my wheel isn't completely straight? I also have air shocks on the back. They told me to come back when I can they will check over the alignment again. I know this is a long post. Just trying to give any information I think may be valuable. Thank you so much for your advice and time. Just trying to figure out the floating/pushing/pulling I feel on the expressway. It seems to be most apparent at high speeds. Again thank you!!

Yep we are here to help, so don't worry about that. It can be difficult to find these kinds of noises but a bad or loose shock can cause this noise as well as bad body mounts though body mounts rarely go out. (Shocks go out all the time) The only way I can help is to have more videos of the noise from different locations (passengers, rear seat). Please let me know what happens.
