Rattling noises coming from underneath the car

When car is on lots of rattling noise is coming from under the car. I was told it is my heat shield. It is getting louder and more frustrating. Now I have noticed there is almost like a gurgling sound when driving and idling coming from under the hood. I can hear it inside the car.
I know the 2008 Nissan Altima is a little on the louder side with their exhaust but this isn't it.
When I got under the car with it running I didn't see anything noticeable that could be making all this noise.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

First, make sure the motor oil is clean and full. Now, a heat shield can be noisy and rattle. However, I don't know for sure that is the problem. Can you record the sound and upload it for me to hear? If I hear it, I should be better able to recognize the sound.
