her cousin lost the only key/fob?

Hello!

My friend has the car listed above LT with remote vehicle starter system with remote keyless entry. Well, her cousin lost the only key/fob, and due to financial issues, she's unable to pay the dealership to get a new set.
The car has PASS-key 3+ according to the owner manual online.

Here's my gazillion questions:
1) What are the options for being able to start and drive said vehicle?
2) Can you bypass the PASS-key thingie?
3) How to program new transponder key without original?
4) Is installing a push to start button system an option? If so, how?

Sure, you cannot bypass the security system, but I have seen people have good luck with the programmable keys and fobs you get from Amazon. If they don't work just send them back. I also have had a mobile locksmith come out and cut a new ignition key and program the car for about $225.00.

Should I assume that since the security system can't be bypassed, hot wiring or screwdriver is not an option? We are needing to move the car so other repairs can be made and where it's currently parked isn't convenient.

Sometimes a screwdriver will work for a short duration. If the security light does not flash then the engine should start, beware that if it does start it can shut down without notice.
