lost key and broke the key module

so I was wondering if replacing the ignition switch would be cheaper and if so what if any other parts would I need to replace and order?

Good morning,

I attached the procedure for the key module as it is part of the switch.

You will need to order the switch assembly with the key and then it will have to be programmed by someone. A locksmith can do this at your location.

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the lower steering column trim cover and steering column cover reinforcement See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel > Removal and Replacement > Steering Column Opening Cover - Removal
3. Remove the two screws (1) from the lower instrument cluster trim.

4. Using a trim stick or equivalent, gently pry (1) along the edge of the trim to remove the instrument cluster trim.

5. Remove the 4 screws from the WIN (1).

6. Remove the WIN (1) from the rear if the instrument panel bringing it through the opening below the steering column and disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the WIN.
