After car comes to temperature I lose acceleration to the point It feels like I'm dragging a parachute. Car revs but feels held back.

Hi,

Is the check engine light staying on when the engine is running? Also, when you say the engine revs but feels held back, could the transmission be slipping? Are there any odd sounds you can think of or odors?

Let me know.

There is no check engine light, no codes, transmission seems fine. Was on a lift yesterday for oil change no leaks. I have been reading maybe it could be the PTU but only seems to do it when warmed up.

Hi,

The transfer case shouldn't be causing this. However, anything is possible. Is there anything other than a power loss that you have noticed? Any strange sounds or smells?

I found the issue, my diagnostic tool didn't bring up the code for some reason the first time. It ended up being a P0234 turbo over boost. Searched the code on YouTube and found the answer, the hose blew off the intake causing waste gate to stay open. Cut the hose secured a hose clamp and she is back running like a champ. Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.

Hi,

That will do it. I'm glad you got the code. That at least gives a starting point. Please feel free to come back in the future if you have questions. And by the way, good job.

Take care,
Joe
