The car runs smooth for awhile and then loses power and starts rumbling. There is smoke or fog coming out of the exhaust pipe.

It sounds like the fuel pump is going bad. HEre is a guide to help you confirm the problem.

Fuel pressure should be between 45 and 55 psi.
