Code P0352, lost power and started to miss and sputter?

The car sat in a garage for a year without being driven. When I took it out for the first time it ran fine for about 10 miles and then lost power and started to miss and sputter. I changed the oil; spark plugs and fuel filter and filled it up with fresh gas. It will start up just fine and run fine until it gets up to full operating temperature and then it starts running bad again. Error code P0352.

The trouble code P0352 in your 1999 Ford Mustang is related to the ignition coil system, specifically, "Ignition Coil B Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction.

I would swap out the ignition coil which can cause this code and make the engine run badly. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

I pulled the coil and tested it with my multimeter, and it tested fine. What I discovered was that the coil electrical connector plug doesn’t lock in place like it should. The locking tab is worn. I zip tied it, so it locks, and the car drives fine. It was working itself loose after running awhile. That explains why it always ran fine at first. Thank you for your help. You certainly pointed me in the right direction.
