I have used a smoke machine to locate a vacuum leak and discovered a loose vacuum line. It is back by the fire wall and I can not see or feel where it plugs in. Hope you can help me before I have to start tearing everything apart.

Hello again.

With the air filter assembly installed, is there a port for the hose to attach?

That is what it looks like it belongs.

No, there nothing on the air cleaner assembly.
I managed to get a camera close enough to take a video that might be showing a port.
I took a desktop photo of it.
Still can not get my hands on it!
May have to take off the throttle body, etc.

What about the open port on the throttle body? That hose is the same size?

No, that is huge, about ten times the size needed.

The hose you pictured, at least that I saw, looked to be the same size as the throttle body fitting.

Let's try it from this point. From the original pictures I sent, with the two vacuum tubes in the harness (routing around the back of the engine) (one white and the other red) (one going to the fuel rail {maybe a regulator} ) Do you have any diagram where these two vacuum tubes are supposed to go? Something color coded? Right now the white one is connected to the fuel rail.

Hello my name is Dave.

The red line I saw in your picture goes to the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail.

Thanks Dave, I already had figured out that the white line when to the EVAP and the red line went to the regulator. But thank you very much for the reply.

Dave has much better eyes than me. I did not even see that hose let alone the color.

Think about my poor memory at 73. Pulled the plugs off and a few days later forgot how they re-plugged in!

Was that the only hose or is there others?

That was it. I had the white tube connected where the red one should have gone, and the white one went to the EVAP on the firewall. Thanks Roy and have a good night.
