Loose gas tank neck?

If the filler neck is loose then this is the problem and why the warning light is on. Here is how to replace the filler neck or see why it is loose which may cause the gas fill issue as well. Okay, so i haven't found a loose connection at the top but i did find at the bottom where it connects to the tank in that section of hose there's a rip in it about an inch long and the hose is coming loose from it can that be the cause of it all and can i only buy that section of hose to replace or the entire thing if i can what do i look for name and size that is if you look at the 1st pic you sent its the hose that's at the bottom.

You might be able to fix it, if you upload an image I can tell for sure. You might need to get a used one from ebay.

I will load up a video or pic shortly so you can tell me whether or not i can just get the end piece of tube or not and the name hopefully.

So, this last part of hose can i just replace that section if so, is it difficult to do or easier to change the entire line and what is that process if so.

You will need to lower the fuel tank to replace this hose. I would drain it out first, here is a video to help:

Okay, so, do you think this rip and the connection to the tank is why the filler hole is moving because i checked the brackets frin there to the tank and none are loose.

That is hard to say but once the tank is removed you should be able to see every part of the filler neck. Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see what to help you with.

I can already see all of it that's how i found the rip in it and that the clamps were not on it at either end of the hose that's at the bottom of the filler neck and goes onto what I'm guessing's the tank.

Yes, it should go to the top of the tank. Once you remove the tank you should be able to see it.

I don't think we are understanding each other. i got underneath of it and i pulled the inner fender liner off and i can follow it from the top of it down to the tank which is where there's a small rubber hose that's supposed to be clamped at the base of the fuel filler line and again at the opening of the tank and that's where the rip is at i don't need to remove the tank in order to get to any part of the fuel neck line or hose.

Yep, I don't think I know what you want, can you please explain it again? Don't know where the hose goes, or you can't get to it to replace it or? It is a job to remove the fuel tank in this car. Here are the instructions which show a few fuel and vapor lines which should clear some confusion up. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Okay, i can get to the hose at the tank and without removing it, it's at the very bottom of the fuel filler neck line where its clamped onto the mouth of the tank this is where the hose has a rip in it about 1/2-1in long i can see both clamps the one holding the hose to the tank and the other to the fuel filler neck but they are not tightened at the tank what I'm asking is would it be easier to just change the section of hose verses the entire thing and when trying to find the entire part I'm only finding the neck without this hose and when i can find the hose idk if any are the right size and last thing is could this hose issue be why i can't get it to take gas and why the neck opening is loose and how, what and where do i start the repair process on any of it?

So the neck of the gas tank is loose? This means the tank will need to be replaced, if you are looking for the fuel hose the auto parts store should have it.

No where you put the gas pump in to get gas is loose and at the very bottom of that fuel filler line is a rubber hose that's clamped onto it and the other end connects to the tank by a clamp. that's where the rip is at in the hose. i showed you the pic of.

I apologize for how long it has been, but I've been doing research, and I've found that this is a common thing with my truck but none of the suggestions mentioned that I've been able to try have panned out. i replaced the hose i mentioned and found another hose that's deteriorating that i cannot find the name for I'm going to hack it up again and send a video to see if you can i believe it comes off the charcoal canister to the fuel line idk how to use compressed air to push the lines as suggested in my search for answers. so, if you can explain it that will be great.
