location of power window relay

This sounds like the main (drivers) window switch is bad becasue these is no relay, here is a guide and a wiring diagram to help you confirm the problem and get it fixed.

Check to see if the switch is getting power, if so try replacing the switch

Hi, i just set on to start all that I've been directed to try, but something happened and i want to explain it before i proceed...I removed the battery this morning to start a neighbour's car and when i installed the battery back on the car, everything including the windows started working but for some few hours now everything has stopped working again. I wanted to be sure, so i disconnected the battery and connected it again then it started working but for about thirty minutes now it has stopped... i found it necessary to forward this if it will help add some clues to the experts for further advice before i start tracing the main switch..thanks so much.

It sounds like you are resetting the module controller in the drivers door. I would try to find a used one to plug in and try. Or use a test light and check the input and output voltage.

Hi,mr.Ken thanks so much for your time, attention and advice through my problem and sorry for my delay in replying since last reply, i was on a village trip where i couldn't access any tools nor junkyards to work on my car. Am back now and have found a driver's door control module from a nearby junkyard, I'll try replacing it today and get back to you with the result. Thanks.

Hello, Mr. Ken. Before i proceed i would like to express my sincere appreciation to you and your efforts. you drew my attention to checking power through the switch the last time. indeed there was power and the brown wire was the ground. but when the car got frozen,(i mean the glasses and the central lock) i tested and now there was power in another wire again ( a small brown wire with a blue strip,it passes through all the doors to the ccm) so I'm sure there is some kind of bad ground somewhere. but to solve my problem temporarily, i decided to disconnect only one wire(that small brown wire gaining power) from the switch in the back door and voila!,it worked, the problem went away. i wanted to inform you earlier but i wanted to be sure before. So what do i do next? and remember, Thanks in advance

I think you found the problem if you look at the wiring harness the brown wire is ground and the reason it has power is becasue it was looking for ground. Check out the wiring diagrams about to see what I am talking about.
