Where is the obd1 located?

Hi yes, I was jump starting explorer and smelled electrical shut system off know back windows speed odometer don’t work replaced fuse for speed odometer blow instantly. Believe it’s obd1 just not sure where it’s located.

Being a 1995 Ford vehicle, it has two data connectors. The one for the engine controls is under the hood in the middle of the left-hand inner fender and uses OBD I protocol. The other is for the body systems and uses a 16 pin connector like the OBD II. However, in your case it sounds more like you have a shorted wire, scan tools are not going to help much with that. Instead, you are going to need to access that area and look for the damaged wiring. Attached is a wiring diagram for the dash which should have the fuse on it. Is there any chance the cables were reversed when you jumped it?
