Locating the ECT (engine coolant temperature sending unit)

You listed this as a 3.0L but I am only showing a 3.8. If that is not correct, let me know.

The sensor is located on the front portion top section of the engine. Here are the directions specific to your vehicle for replacement and the two attached pictures correlate with these directions:

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Partially drain the cooling system.
3. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.

4. Remove the ECT.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
