Could this cause cracked spark plugs? It is using lots of gas. Took off catalytic converter and muffler. Fuel tank has a leak. Could this be a cause of the problem? Loading hill. Fuel and backfiring. The catalytic converter must have broken off and plugged muffler, because while driving it exploded the muffler now car does not run good at all. Could the compression that was built up from clogged muffler have blown? A head hassled when it exploded?

scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge first, auto parts rent it. See link.
