Link error and no check engine light/MIL

It sounds like you have lost one or more of the voltage feeds to the engine control module, I have attached diagrams showing the three different circuits that should be checked and a link to our tutorial on testing wiring. If any of these have lost voltage there would be no communication with the scanner.

I checked those fuses and jump the MPI relay. now it is powered up but engine still won't start. any ideas?

What do you mean by "powered up"? The CEL comes on and the scan tool connects up? What does it do when you turn the key? Cranks over but doesn't start or does nothing?
Was it running okay prior to this problem?

It does nothing-no cranking at all. I lost power to three fuses but took care of that by jumping the MPI relay, it was running before when i jump the starter it cranks over, that's it. How do I go by checking the coil/injector pulses one with three wires without a multi-meter that reads in Hertz?

If it isn't turning over at all with the key the problem isn't the coils or injectors, you have a loss of power into the system that is simply not letting everything work. There are multiple power feeds into and through the ignition switch. However it sounds like you have an issue in the immobilizer system that is shutting off the ECU. When you insert the key does the security light do anything? How about when you turn the key on?

That sounds like the anti-theft isn't causing an issue. Instead you have a problem with either the ECU or the power feeds to it. The MPI relay turns on with a ground signal from the ECM. As it isn't getting that signal and you are getting the link error I suspect you have a bad ECM. To check that you need the OEM scan tool that can operate on both of the data line types. It can look at the data and see if the ECM is the problem.
