I have a 1988 Lincoln Town car with a 5.0 engine that cranks, yet when its put in gear it will not go forward, but when put into first gear it moves backwards just like if I'd had it in reverse gear. The car moves backwards slowly but not forward at all no matter which gear its in. It has 96435 miles on it.
