I'm about to purchase (from a new/used dealer) a 2000 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series, 73,100 miles on it. It runs great, but while driving it I noticed that it was indicating only about 9 to 12 mpg on the miles/gallon display.
(I have a 1990 Lincoln T.C. w/233,000 miles and it gets about 16mpg in-town average).
Any suggestions at what might be the problem, before I buy it???
