I can't fill my gas tank

I have a 1989 lincoln towncar, it has 160,000 miles and its a 5.0. I tried to get gas today and the pump started clicking off before I was done ( I was only at $15.00). There is no way the tank is full, what can I do about this? thanks!

Just a bad gas pump.. try another

I have a 5.0L V8 88' Lincoln Town Car (116k Miles)

Which has a 18Gallon Gas Tank, and i can never get more then 10 Gallons in it.

It could be my gas guage lying to me, but i have been to scared to let it go past the bottom line.
