2002 Lincoln Town Car, 31,000 miles, 235-hp, 4.6-liter V-8 engine. The "Check Engine Light" came on, and the car failed emissions due to a bad O2 sensor.
I had the O2 sensor replaced, and the "check engine" light was off for a few days, then it came back on. The O2 sensor was replaced again. The "check engine" light came on after about 6 hours.
Any idea what would cause O2 sensors to fail so quickly - or is there some other problem?
