2002 lincoln towncar-headlight assembly/hood latch

2002 lincoln town car signature, 60,000 miles,v8?
How do I replace the driver side headlight assembly?
Also, the primary hood latch won't close, the cable is movng- the spring is moving, but the actual closing part doesn't close over bar when hood is dropped. Any thoughts?

Headlight assy is one of the simplest I've ever done. Look for three black handles, pull them out 1 at a time the light is now out! Try a little lube on the hood latch!

Thank you very much for the help, The lube idea was fantastic-worked like a charm- i'm a little embarassed I didn't think of that!! :-) And I;m going out right now to try the head light!
