Shakes or Wobbles problem
2000 Lincoln Town Car V8 Automatic 80,000 miles

This happens when driving at various speeds. It feels like I am going over rumble strips. My husband found that a lower ball joint was lose and we replaced it. Didn't fix the problem. I was told that it could possibly be the transmission.

Any input would be appreciated

I'm not a mechanic but I had this to happen on my 1993 Licn TC. It was dirty transmission fluid. But make sure the mechanic DROPS the trans pan. Otherwise, Quick transmission fluid replace will only suck the fluid out of pan causing further problems. This is costly but will save you in the long run. Also replace Trans filter.
