I have rented the ball joint remover and used a 3 foot pipe on a breaker bar and I can NOT get the old ball joint to move at all.

Will some heat help, can I cut a line inside of it to relieve the pressure ( hardened steel ?? )

Hello and thanks for donating

Are you replacing the upper or the lower ball joint?

The lower ball joint is only supposed to be replaced along with the control arm as an assembly. The lower ball joint alone is not replaceable.

What kind of tool are you referring to? A tapered pickel fork? Ball joint press? Is the replacement ball joint the simple round housing with the ball and tapered stud inside a socket?
