1990 Lincoln Town Car Where is the fuse for the windshield

My windshield wiper motor needs to be replaced, but I can't take the car in for another few weeks. In the meantime, the motor cannot be turned off, and it is constantly buzzing while I'm driving. I was told that there is a fuse specifically for the winshield wipers that I can pull out until I get the motor repaired. Then, the winshield wiper motor will not be connected and I won't hear this irritating buzz. But in the owner's manual, there is no indication of which fues governs the windshield wiper motor.

Do you know which fuse it is, and how to locate it?

it is the fuse #2 (8.25 Amp) located in the fuse panel in the instrument panel. to the left of the steering column. remove lower steering column finish panel to gain access

Thank you. For clarification I wanted to double check:

There is a fuse box to the left of the steering colum with a plastic cover. This is easy to get to but it is not attached to the steering column. Is this the right fuse box?
Also, if I disconnect this fuse, will it disable anything else oon the car?

that is the correct panel and the only thing on that circuit is the wipers and the washer motor for the wipers. nothing else will be effected.

Sorry, I need to ask one more question. The plastic cover of the fuse box gives the location of each numbered fuse. But in the fuse #2 slot is a large metal covered insert. I don't know if this is the way the fuse is supposed to look, or if someone put something in that is permament. I tried pulling it out gently, and it won't budge. I don't want to break it. Is this fuse #2 supposed to be much, much larger than the other fuses and metal instead of plastic? Is it safe to pull hard? (I'm a novice, as you can see)

does it look like the pic below? if so then its fine, its just a relay instead of regular fuse, still pull it out the same. more prongs on it so may be little tighter..

It has a similar metal cover, but it is long and narrow instead of square. I don't know if it has prongs--I'd have to pull it out to see. Should I try to pull it out? I just want to make sure I don't damage anything.
