The glove box will not open. It seems that a spring may have broken in the lock. How can I get ithe glove box open to replace the locking mechanism?

Cant open it with the trunk key?

The glove box was not locked. Ten monutes after closing it I tried to get back into it and it would not open. As I stated the right side lever that you squeeze to open it would not work.

If I remember these latches right there are 7 spring loaded parts inside the lock, This is all the info the Lincoln shop manual has about it. You may try twisting the lock as you push in the side buttons, or worst case, pop it open with a large screwdriver.
