Hi. Yesterday my navigator would not shift out of park. I could hear the usual click when i pressed the brake pedal so o knew it wasn't a fuse. I even tried tge manual override but it would not move. Since I was in the way, I had to move fast. I removed the center console and detatched the plate around the shifter. I noticed that pushing the button did not make the shift lock rise so I pushed it up with a screwdriver and was able to shift. Turns out a plastic piece inside the shift knob was broken and therefore not unlockibg the lever.

The problem now is that tgere is a circuitboard inside the shifter plate I disconnected. The wires were installed to tight tolerances with no slack so i had to disconnect them to remove tge plate. Some wires came off their connectors and now I don't know what order they go in. There are three connectors. One tgat had a red and black wire, one with about 8 wires but that one is still intact, and another with five wires (one red, two blacks and two whites). The red white and black are together as well as one white with one black. Anyone know what pibs they go to? Or if they have the same vehicle could check by looking? Thanks in advance!

Any chance of getting the part number off the controller that the connector plugs into so I can look it up and see what wiring diagram to look at?

The board has a barcode with a number and an imprinted number. The imprinted number looks more along the lines of ford's part nunbering. The imprinted number is 1-CD50-1231-000 and obe it it says FAB REV H. The barcode number is S0GU2116566NQ1.

I'm on my way to work. I can add pictures when I get there in about an hour.

Here are some pictures... The first is The bottom of the board.

The second is the top of the board.

The third is the pins for the connectors.

The fourth is the first set of wires with connector still attatched. 8 wires total.

The last is the wires that were detatched from their connector. On the left is a three pin connector but it only had two wires. I don't know if that's the order they go in. On the bottom there is a tube with a white wire and a black wire and another tube with a black, white, and red wire. These seem to go to the brake switch solenoid. They've been taped so they don't short.

These last five wires go on a single connector to the pins on the left side of picture number 3. the connector that is still intact plugs into the board with the red wire on the right of the harness to the leftmost pin on the long set of pins when the piece is placed correctly.

I dug a little deeper. Maybe this will help. The red and black wire on the left side go down into the vehicle (transmissiin I assume). The black and white on the bottom go to the brack lock solenoid. An the red white and black wires go to a switch on the shifter casibg that detects whether the shifter is in tge D6 or D4 position (D6 the switch is closed, D4 the switch is open). So I assume that is to a) turn on the indicator on the board and b) send the transmission the signal tu turn overdrive off. Unforunayely just looking at the circuit board doesnt help me much. Maybe i should go trial and error. (I know that when i first tried that it blew the number 5 fuse)

I have been looking, but they dont alwyas show every connector in the software.Did you get the one I sent for the shift lock? I will send you the interior lights diagram, and the ones for 4wd and 2wd transmissions. My software breaks the wiring down into systems instead of just the entire schematic that I can search through, so it omits some things that are needed from time to time
