is this a difficult replacement? Is it problematic and should be left to professionals? Would appreciate some tips before I purchase repair manuals and parts. Not happy with estimate received.

Hello,

O2 Sensors are pretty easy in most cases to replace. Some harder ones are just do to the location. There is a special tool for removing them. You will also need to know which one needs replacing. On most V8 engines there are 4 O2 Sensors. And getting codes pulled will help determine which one. If don't have codes you can go by your local parts store and have them pull them for you then post here.
