1986 Lincoln Mark VII V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic

i need to know how to adjust the idle on my 1986 lincoln mark vii 5.0 v8? when it warms up and is in park it will die if i dont keep foot on gas and have it revved up to 1000 rpm.

Do a tuneup first(wires,spark plugs,rotor and Cap) and use platinum spark plugs. My car would eat regular spark plugs and would not idle because the gap was wrong. Also, you may need to change the idle speed control sensor.
