We have a 93 Lincoln Contenintal with 154,000 miles on it. When driving the car in moderatly warm temperatures (80+) for about 40 minutes or more a very strong fuel odor is present in the cabin. After we stop and check the car we realize the odor is only coming from within the car rather than outside. Also when this has happened the gas cap is under high pressure, causing it to release a large amount of pressure when opened. After releasing the pressure the fuel odor goes away and then the whole process kind of starts over again. This problem started about a year ago and is pretty consistant under these circumstances. We really don't have any idea of how to approach this and any information would be appreciated. Thanks.
