Defrost won't engage.

I turn on my defrost and all ports start blowing air. Also it seems like it's in Auto. Blower switches from on to off several times. I live in MN Up north where it really gets cold. Last night it was -18 below. Please Help.

check the vacuum going to the control for the heater box. lose of vacuum will make it so it will not change to defrost.check the connections on the heater control switch. if you find loose wires tighten
them up. should take care of problem
