Power steering replacement

I have the exact same situation and question. Does anyone know if the motor really has to be pulled, or just everything blocking the PSP in this tight compartment?

Here is a guide and instructions on how to replace the pump which will give you an idea on what you are in for. It looks like you the pumps mounting bolts need to be taking out from under the car.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

Turn air suspension service switch OFF in luggage compartment.
Remove radiator upper sight shield.
Remove accessory drive belt.
Evacuate air conditioning system. See Heating and Air Conditioning.
Raise vehicle on hoist.
Remove five push pins and three screws retaining lower radiator air deflector. Remove radiator air deflector.
Position drain pan and remove power steering return hose from combination power steering and transmission fluid cooler. Drain power steering system.
After system has drained, install power steering return hose to combination power steering and transmission fluid cooler.
Remove A/C manifold and tube and A/C compressor.
Disconnect power steering pressure hose and power steering reservoir pump hose from power steering pump.
Remove four bolts retaining power steering pump to engine.
Remove power steering pump from vehicle.
Remove power steering pump pulley from power steering pump shaft using Steering Pump Pulley Remover T69L-10300-B.

Please let me know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

The best way l have found to do this is.first remove the lower and upper motor.mount Jack the motor up remove both headlights remove the front clip (pretty easy about 8 bolts) undo the lower bracket that hold the radiator then you can get right to it
