we are trying to replace the water pump on my 1990 lincoln continental - we are having a problem getting the hose back on- and the studs coming from the motor where the water pump attaches, one of them was replaced with one that is 1/8" longer than it should be- we had to force the pump on- will that keep it from working properly now?
