Limp Mode, no check engine light?

One of the common cause for limp mode is having a dirty throttle actuator. A dirty actuator won't be able to provide correct data to the ECM and that can trigger the limp mode.
Many times cleaning out the throttle actuator can help.

Also, have you tried to disconnect the battery and see if that resets it?
