I have the car listed above 1.4tdci, that I have been having issues with. it began by not running smoothly, then going into limp mode, when it was checked with the computer it mentioned 2 injectors were faulty. since then we have been through a number of issues and have replaced all the injectors, all sensors, fuel pump to name but a few things. we live overseas and finding a good mechanic is nearly impossible. it has been off the road for 3 years now and located at various mechanics around the island, and I am at my wits end. I have been saying for some time that I think it is the ECU. can you tell me if you need to replace like for like? as in will I need an ECU from a 2009 ford fiesta 1.4 TDCi.
it originally started with a reading of 2 injectors not working, it has had so many things changed, sensors (twice) all injectors replaced (with 4 re-conditioned ones) fuel pump, fuel pump pulley, fuel injector leak of return pipes, injector seals and washers, in-tank fuel pump. just to name but a few!
