Limp mode

Yesterday my car went into limp mode, information came up as 'performance restricted' is there anyway around this? Could it just be a sensor? Any help much appreciated.

9 times out of 10 limp mode is caused by the computer loses correlation with the throttle actuator because it needs to be serviced. Here is a guide to help you fix the problem:
